About CS2 Collections
Where the numbers on this site come from and how they are calculated.
Where the data comes from
The item catalogue is built on the open CSGO-API dataset. Prices come from the public APIs of third-party markets and the Steam Community Market, and they refresh roughly once an hour. We pull each feed directly and keep our own copy, so the price history stays here even if a market wipes it at their end.
How we work it out
The price we show
The best buy price across every market we are connected to, rather than a market-wide average. An average would iron out the very thing people come here for — the gap between one market and the next.
Price chart
The recent part is live market prices, one point every 30 minutes. Older history comes from Steam sales, scaled to meet the market level at the point where the two series join: the chart shows how the price moved, not what items actually cost back then.
Market cap
The value of everything currently listed, multiplied by a supply factor. Valve does not publish how many items exist, so nobody knows the real number — we call this an estimate because that is exactly what it is.
Unboxing ROI
The expected value of a case’s contents, from the official rarity odds and the float distribution, minus the sell fee and a discount for items that are hard to sell. It is almost always negative — that is how cases are built, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What we do not do
CS2 Collections is not a marketplace: we do not sell or buy items, we do not handle trades, and we do not take payments or deposits. Buy links lead to third-party market websites, and we are not responsible for how they operate or for their terms.
The information here is for reference only and does not constitute investment advice. Prices are volatile and the data comes from external sources — we do not guarantee that it is complete or up to date.
