The steam:// link is built by us and points at an item that does not exist — the client may refuse it. The !gen code is the reliable way.

Fade — gradient percentage

The fade percentage is computed from the seed and lands between 80 and 100 %. Half of all seeds give 90 %+, so collectors chase 99 %+ and above all the single 100 % seed each weapon has.

The percentage comes from Valve’s open algorithm — CSFloat, Skinport and DMarket show the same values. BUFF163 and CS.MONEY use their own pixel-analysis scale.

This weapon shares its fade table with 21 other items — the percentage depends on the seed alone.

Price of an ordinary copy

FN · Factory New $2147.05
MW · Minimal Wear $2200.00

The price is for an ordinary copy in this wear. A rare pattern sells for a multiple of it; there is no per-seed quote.

Where to look for listings

Only CSFloat filters by pattern number. The Steam link opens every listing of the skin: the market hash name carries no wear.

Questions and answers

How do I find the seed of my skin?

The seed is in the item description in your Steam inventory — the Pattern Template line. You can also paste the inspect link into the checker on the patterns page: it returns the seed, the exact float and the verdict.

Why is this pattern valuable?

The fade percentage is computed from the seed by an open algorithm: the higher it is, the more bright gradient the weapon carries. Exactly one seed per weapon reaches 100 %.

Does the seed change the price?

There is no per-seed quote: marketplaces sell a skin by name and wear. A rare pattern trades for a multiple of an ordinary copy, but the price is settled between collectors.

CS2 Collections is not affiliated with Valve. Pattern data is collected from open sources and the collector community.
