How crafts work
A craft is a weapon with stickers applied to it. Worth understanding before you buy: a sticker can never be removed and resold, and a build almost never costs the sum of its parts.
What a craft is
A craft is one specific gun carrying one specific set of applied stickers. The value comes from the combination: how rare the stickers are, how rare and how clean the skin is, whether the colours line up, and how much the set reads as a single object. A set of identical stickers in every slot is written as 1×4 or 1×5, and those builds are worth more than mixed ones.
How stickers are applied
Since the 6 February 2024 patch every weapon except knives takes up to five stickers, and you can place them anywhere on the play side of the gun at any rotation — before that the positions were fixed and there were four slots. Applying is free and instant but irreversible: the sticker leaves your inventory and becomes part of the weapon.
What scraping does
Scraping is the only way to remove a sticker: each pass wears it down further until the slot is empty again. The sticker never returns to your inventory, and there is no undo and no way to dial the wear back. People also scrape on purpose: a worn logo sits better on a Field-Tested or Battle-Scarred base, and some stickers hide different artwork under the top layer that only shows as they wear.
Why Katowice 2014 costs thousands
The EMS One Katowice 2014 capsules sold for 25 cents and only during the event — they never returned to the game, and few were opened because the audience was tiny at the time. From then on the supply only shrinks: every sticker applied or scraped leaves the market for good. The dearest of them, Titan (Holo), has roughly four dozen tradable copies left.
How a craft is valued
There is no single percentage — Skinport states outright that no fixed share exists and that applying a sticker loses part of its value, sometimes all of it. Four things drive the result: sticker rarity, the rarity of the skin itself, its condition and the colour match. The upper bound shows in an AWP | Dragon Lore with four iBUYPOWER (Holo): the gun sold for $265,000 while the same stickers unapplied were worth about $268,000 — a grail set on a grail base keeps nearly everything, while an ordinary build keeps a few per cent.
Tiers in this catalogue
We assign the tier by the stickers, not the gun. Legendary covers the 2014 Major holos and grail builds; premium covers 2015 foils and holos, contraband and the expensive non-tournament stickers; budget covers the modern 2023–2026 sets and the meme classics from the old capsules. Some sets look possible but are not: the Katowice 2014 foils and the Katowice 2015 golds only exist pre-applied on souvenir weapons, so they are left out.

How many stickers fit on a weapon?
Up to five on every weapon except knives: the fifth slot arrived with the 6 February 2024 patch, and the same update let you place stickers anywhere on the play side of the gun and rotate them. Knives, gloves and agents take no stickers at all.
Can a sticker be removed and sold back?
No. Applying is irreversible, and scraping does not return the sticker to your inventory — it simply wears away until it is gone. That is why a craft always sells together with the weapon.
Do stickers add their full value to the skin?
Usually not. Skinport warns specifically that applying a sticker loses a good part of its value and sometimes all of it, and that no fixed percentage exists. Only very rare stickers on a very rare base hold close to their full price.
Why are Katowice 2014 holos hundreds of times dearer than Katowice 2015?
Supply. The 2014 capsules sold for a week at 25 cents to a tiny audience, while the 2015 capsules shipped in huge numbers. The very same Titan (Holo) from the 2015 set runs to about four hundred dollars against roughly seventy thousand for the 2014 version.
